Every leader has to be a story teller. Just because you are in charge doesn’t mean your people will listen to you or remember and learn from what you have to say.

This Fast Company article says you need to learn how to connect with others and keep it brief. In my experience, it’s even more important to be personal, reveal your vulnerability, and also to have a clear vision and a good direction forward that people can understand and execute on. You also need to help your team understand why they are key in whatever success becomes possible. You need to give them heros; sometimes heros or heroines are themselves. You need also to practice story telling; Voice, pace, twists, connections back & forth are some of the tricks. And beyond all remember.
Your protagonist is your AUDIENCE who needs to be led and pass through CATHARSIS into a PLEASURABLE finale.
