I like this guy, Elon Musk. Use him a lot in my stories. Feel like I have somewhere met him.

I particularly love his quotes about innovation — a great business leader who starts with purpose and works backwards to solve problems through innovation.

Number 1 and number 10 in this list strike me as the most relevant for all business leaders:

I have personally done so many things against-the-odds. My take is, even if defeated, the ride is beautiful, satisfying, and full of learning and new knowledge. Worth it.

My advice is that if it is tough to get up in the morning, thinking damn-where-do-I-go-why-to-expense-my-energy-this-way…you need to change the job. On the contrary clarity, transparency, candor on the mission with frequent updates is blessing.
