I am reading How Google Works and I so much like a quote Eric Schmidt is referring to.
Can’t resist sharing as it represents a school of thought, a style of management, the mantra of what I call the seamless team.
The quote comes from an American academic, the former University of Connecticut president Michael Hogan: “My first word of advice is this:
Say yes.
In fact, say yes as often as you can. Saying yes begins things. Saying yes is how things grow. Saying yes leads to new experiences, and new experiences will lead you to knowledge and wisdom. … An attitude of yes is how you will be able to go forward in these uncertain times”
Indeed, saying YES (with capital letters) is a team culture, is the catalyst that can facilitate organizations to grow, innovate and flourish.
